A Title Pending Dennis Nilsen's Approval - Full-length Play
Wrote a play about my Dad nearly getting done in by Dennis Nilsen. My Dad has called him a bastard several times through a television screen but they only ever met once. Dennis Nilsen died a couple of years ago, which on a very selfish level, meant he never got to read the play. Shame.
A television series based on Dennis Nilsen with David Tenant in the starring role is now in post-production. The real Dennis Nilsen was never that handsome and more importantly, ITV unashamedly and with no offer of compensation, robbed my idea.
Bureaucratic details of the legal proceedings commencing between ITV PLC and I will form the narrative of a future, even more disappointing work. The play is currently said to be in pre-pre-pre-pre-production.
